Chaps Claim ABCA Team Academic Excellence Award

LUBBOCK, Texas - Led by head coach Nathan Blackwood, Lubbock Christian University baseball was named a recipient of the American Baseball Coaches Association's (BACA) 2023-24 Team Academic Excellence Award. 

The award honors high school and college programs coached by a current ABCA member that achieved a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher for the 2023-24 academic year. 

The Chaps finished the season with a 45-16 record, won the Lone Star Conference, and were one win away from the NCAA Division II World Series.
