LUBBOCK, Texas (March 24, 2014) – Katera Eltsosie earned her first Heartland Conference Pitcher of the Week honor on Tuesday after leading Lubbock Christian to four wins in Hawai'i.

The sophomore recorded two wins and a pair of saves against Hawai'i Pacific and Chaminade to go along with a 0.68 ERA and 16 strikeouts. Eltsosie also contributed offensively, compiling three hits and two RBI throughout the week.

The Albuquerque, N.M., native leads the Heartland in wins with 16, saves with four, appearances with 23 and batters struck out looking with 39, and ranks second in strikeouts (102) and innings pitched (116).

Eltsosie received Hitter of the Week on March 13, the only honoree in the conference to merit both awards, and joins teammates Morgan Colburn and Ashton Bell as two-time award recipients.

The Lady Chaps return to Heartland Conference play this week, traveling to face St. Edward's on Friday and Saturday.
