Lubbock Christian won the Lone Star Conference Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) Cup for the third straight year on July 20, 2024 at the annual LSC SAAC Retreat in San Antonio, Texas.

The LSC SAAC Cup, which was first presented in 2009, is awarded to the SAAC program with the most points at the end of the school year. Points are determined by a criteria involving community service projects, Make-A-Wish participation, involvement in LSC organized SAAC events and NCAA organized events.

2024-2025 EVENTS
OVER 100 LCU STUDENT-ATHLETES PARTICIPATED IN SAAC ORGANIZE CIVIC ENGAGEMENT DAY
LCU SAAC organized the first Civic Engagement Day on Nov. 7. Per new NCAA legislation, Division II athletic programs are unable to practice or workout on Election Day. LCU decided to use that time to give back to the Lubbock community. Six LCU athletic programs (student-athletes and coaches) participated in service on Nov. 7 in what LCU SAAC hopes to become an annual event at LCU. - READ MORE

LCU SAAC HOSTS ANNUAL HALLOWEEN "TRUNK OR TREAT" AT RIP GRIFFIN CENTER
On October 31, LCU SAAC hosted its annual "Trunk or Treat" event that saw hundreds of Lubbock families from around the community attend with their children. Each LCU team had a "tailgate" where children could come receive candy, play games, and hang out with LCU student-athletes. - SEE PHOTOS

SOLES 4 SOULS CAMPAIGN AND THANKSGIVING CANNED FOOD DRIVE = MASSIVE SUCCESS!
All throughout the month of October, LCU SAAC members had "Soles 4 Souls" donation boxes placed in strategic locations around campus, encouraging students, faculty, and staff to donate old pairs of tennis shoes to those in need. SAAC also planned and organized a food drive at the Food King Classic Basketball Tournament hosted at LCU prior to the Thanksgiving holiday, where fans could donate canned items for free entry into the contests. In total, SAAC raised over 150 donated canned items.
