Sears is a 2025 graduate of Midland Christian School in Midland, Texas, where she was a four-year letterwinner and cornerstone of the volleyball program… She developed from a front-row player as a freshman into a six-rotation standout who rarely left the floor by the time she was a senior… During her 2024 senior season, Sears served as team captain while playing both setter and opposite hitter, averaging 11.5 kills, 14 assists, and 9.1 digs per match… Totaled 426 kills, 519 assists, 377 digs, 26 aces, and 34 blocks, earning TAPPS 5A First Team All-State honors and was named the TAPPS District 1-5A Co-Offensive Player of the Year… Her performance also led to her being named the Midland Reporter-Telegram’s 2024 Volleyball Most Valuable Player… As a junior in 2023, she guided MCS to its first TAPPS State Tournament appearance since 2016 and claimed TAPPS 5A Second Team All-State honors after recording 233 kills, 250 assists, and 211 digs… A true multi-sport athlete, Sears also competed in cheerleading, soccer, and track & field during her time at MCS… Is the granddaughter of John Copeland, the former Lubbock Christian University men’s basketball head coach and 1994 LCU Hall of Honor inductee...
