LCU SAAC organized the first Civic Engagement Day on Nov. 7. Per new NCAA legislation, Division II athletic programs are unable to practice or workout on Election Day. LCU decided to use that time to give back to the Lubbock community. Six LCU athletic programs (student-athletes and coaches) participated in service on Nov. 7 in what LCU SAAC Advisor and tennis head coach Jason Speegle hopes becomes an annual event at LCU.
