LUBBOCK, Texas (August 1, 2023) – The 2023 edition of Lubbock Christian University Chap Golf Classic, which serves as an important annual fundraiser for the LCU Athletic Department, has been scheduled for Monday, October 9 at Shadow Hills Golf Course.
 
The purpose of the annual event is to drive funds to assist the athletic department's goals in providing a first-class experience to the student-athletes as they represent LCU and the community. The tournament is a four-man scramble with an 8 a.m. shotgun-start. Entry fees for this season's event is $500 per team (or $125 per individual), which includes cart, green fees, range balls, breakfast and lunch. Door prizes are available and cash prizes will be awarded to the top-three finishing teams.
 
Hole prizes for longest drive, closest-to-the-pin and hole-in-ones will also be presented. The Athletic Department has advertising sponsorships available ($250 each) and seeks businesses to become a sponsorship partner for the event. 100% of sponsorship signage proceeds will benefit the athletic team of the sponsor's choosing.
 
Registration will begin at 7 a.m. with breakfast provided by Chick-Fil-A.
