HOW IT HAPPENED

• Mauricio Castorino opened the scoring 9:16 into the game, chipping a shot over LCU goalkeeper Tristan Putnam for a 1-0 lead.
• Anthony Hernandez scored a pair of goals 2:34 apart, including the second of the two with 12 seconds left in the half. He converted on the hat trick in the game's 72nd minute.
• Michael Yantz recorded his second shutout of the season, as the FHSU keeper stopped all four LCU shots on goal.

GAME NOTES
• Hernandez recorded the first hat trick against LCU since Erik Luzanilla completed the task for Wayland Baptist on Sept. 10, 2013. It is the first hat trick recorded against LCU since Lee Williams took over the coaching reigns.
• The shutout was the first since a 1-0 loss on Oct. 20, 2014 at home to Newman. It is the third time LCU has been shutout since Williams took over. All-time, it was the 22nd time they have shutout all-time and the 10th time on the road.
• LCU was unable to open the season 4-0-0, which would have set a program single-season record. They were one of 20 programs nationally that still had a perfect record before the match.
• The Chaps fall to 3-5-1 all-time against ranked opponents (2-3-1 on the road). It is the first time they have been shutout by a ranked opponent.
• LCU is 0-1-0 all-time against FHSU and 0-2-0 all-time against Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) foes.
• The Chaparrals are now 2-1-0 on the road this season, 7-3 on the road all-time under head coach Lee Williams and 27-15-5 all-time in program history on the road.
