Two Teams Tied For Third in Standings Play to Second 1-1 Tie

LCU HIGHLIGHTS
• LCU is now unbeaten in eight straight games (4-0-4).
• Ashley Ledford scored her first goal of the season.
• LCU sets a program single-season record for ties with their fourth of the season (second against StMU).
 
HOW IT HAPPENED
• Ledford opened the game's scoring 15:10 into the game with a goal assisted by Hollie Windham.
• StMU responded 6:56 later with Rachel Gurinsky tying the game with a goal.
• LCU closed the game with the game's final nine shots, but were unable to regain the lead..
 
GAME NOTES
• The game's result marked LCU's fourth overtime of the season. LCU is now 2-6-13 all-time in games ending in overtime (0-0-4 this season). Three of the last four LCU games have resulted in a draw.
• Ledford's goal now gives LCU 11 different goal scorers on the season. The goal was Ledford's 11th career goal.
• Hollie Windham recorded an assist on Ledford's goal for her second assist of the season. The freshman now has 12 points on the season (5g,2a) and ranks second on the squad in points.
• With a shot advantage of 17-8, LCU has out-shot their opposition in nine consecutive games.
• The Lady Chaps move to 23-9-3 all-time in Heartland Conference games and 9-7-2 all-time in Heartland Conference road games. LCU is now unbeaten in their last three consecutive conference road games (1-0-2).
• With the draw, LCU is 2-2-3 on the road this season and are 18-20-4 all-time on the road under head coach Alex Denning. Overall all-time, LCU is 28-30-6 on the road.
• The meeting was the seventh all-time meeting between the two programs and LCU 3-2-2 against StMU. The two season meetings each resulted in 1-1 finals.
 
INSIDE THE NUMBERS
6: Adrienne Almodova led LCU with six shots in the game. She matched a season and career high, which was also done Sept. 22 against St. Mary's.
