LCU HIGHLIGHTS
• LCU's victory was the first of the season and the first for head coach
Paul Gilbert. Ironically, the loss for ASU was their first of the season and the first for Grizzlies head coach Brett Bentley, who took over this season at ASU after serving as an assistant coach at LCU.

Cody Graves scored his first goal of the season and his first ever goal as a Chaparral.

Fernando Rios produced a career high eight saves en route to his first shutout of the season.
HOW IT HAPPENED
• The Chaps struck first, getting Graves to score with 2:27 remaining in the first half.
• Rios was active stopping six shots on goal in the first half and helping LCU to a 1-0 halftime lead.
• LCU was outshot 4-1 in the second half, with ASU getting two on goal but each stopped by Rios.
GAME NOTES
• LCU improves to 1-3-0 with the win and it closes out a four-game road trip to start the season.
• The shutout was LCU's first of the season. The last recorded shutout win came on Oct. 19, 2016 against Eastern New Mexico (on the road). It was LCU's 24
th shutout in program history (12
th on the road) and the first under head coach
Paul Gilbert.
• ASU had nine corner kicks in the contest. A season high by a Chaps opponent. Chaps opponents had nine or more corner kicks twice last season.

Andres Ramirez extended his streak of minutes played and has played in all 360 minutes of the season (the most by a Chaps non-goalkeeper this season).
• LCU is now 2-0-0 all-time against ASU and 4-2-0 against Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference opponents.
• The Chaps are now 1-3-0 on the road this season (went 6-3-0 last season on the road) and 33-20-5 all-time in road play.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS
2 – LCU won despite only two shots on goal. The last time they won a game with two or less shots on goal was Nov. 6, 2014 against West Texas A&M (a 2-0 win).
