HOW IT HAPPENED
• Windham, entering the game as a reserve, was able to beat the defense on a tipped long lead pass from Boone, and once gathering possession of the pass, she chipped a shot over goalkeeper Britt Blomso, who was coming out to challenge.

• LCU's defense was solid disrupting many Skyhawk scoring chances.
• Palmer made several challenging saves and finished the game with six saves.
GAME NOTES
• LCU improved to 6-0-1 all-time in home openers to remain unbeaten at home in openers.
• Due to rainfall totals on the week, LCU moved the game to Frenship High School's soccer specific stadium, where the Lady Chaps improved to 2-0-0 all-time when playing there.
• The shutout marked LCU's second straight shutout and Palmer has no blemishes in 180 minutes of play in goal. It was LCU's 32
nd shutout overall in program history.
• Each team had 12 shots, with FLC holding a slight 6-5 shots on goal advantage.
• Boone's assist was her fifth career assist and her first since the 2014 season.
• With the win, LCU moves to 1-0-0 at home this season and is now 25-6-4 all-time at home under
Alex Denning. They are 28-14-6 all-time overall at home. LCU is unbeaten in their last 10 home games (8-0-2).
• The meeting was the first ever between the two programs and LCU is now 1-0-0 against the Skyhawks.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS
12: Each squad had 12 shots in the game. The win marked the first time since Sept. 29, 2011 (vs. John Brown) in which LCU won despite not out-shooting their opposition.
