LCU HIGHLIGHTS
• Lubbock Christian University fell to a 4-5-2 conference record Thursday evening following a 4-0 loss to West Texas A&M in Canyon, Texas.

Parker O'Quinn started and played 70 minutes in the net before freshman
Diego Goiabeira checked in and finished the final 20 minutes of the match. Goiabeira's appearance marks his fourth of the season. The pair combined for a season-high 10 saves.
• The Chaps tabbed five shots for the match from five different players. Of those five attempts, three came within the opening period.
HOW IT HAPPENED
• West Texas A&M split their offensive efforts scoring two goals in each half. Reese Schattle got things started in the 16th minute where he chipped Lubbock Christian's O'Quinn for the open-net goal. Schattle was assisted on the play by Ivan Ulloa.
• Julio Vargas got on the board next 28:05 into the contest with an assist from Ivan Ulloa and Evan Bozman, Vargas was able to finish on a header from Ulloa's cross.
• Troy Reeves also struck out of the air with a header in the 65
th minute for WTAMU. His finish came off of a cross from the left side of the field by Chris Johnson.
• Ulloa closed out scoring for the Buffs at the 66:36 mark with an assist from Evan Bozman.
GAME NOTES
• The loss marks the largest defeat of the season for the Chaparrals. The result is also serves as the fifth shutout of the 2017 campaign for Lubbock Christian.
• Goal keeper
Parker O'Quinn registered a season-high nine saves on 24 shots faced. His performance ranks tied for third all-time for saves recorded in a single game.
• The loss drops the Chaparrals a full four points behind Texas – Permian Basin for third place within the Heartland Conference's West Division. LCU's record has amounted to 14 points within conference standings with just three matches remaining in the regular season.

Lubbock Christian will now make their way to Odessa, Texas for a Saturday afternoon matchup against Texas – Permian Basin. Kickoff is scheduled for 1 p.m. at the Falcon's UTPB Soccer Field. The contests will be the ninth overall meeting between the squads. Their most recent matchup was one year ago where the Chaparrals booked a 3-1 victory over the Falcons in Odessa, Texas. LCU holds a 6-1-1 record over UTPB in a rivalry that dates back to the 2013 season.
