Sydney Beuthien bombs to beat Rogers State 12-4 Sunday night in a run-ruled shortened contest at the Diamond Sports Complex on the RSU campus in Claremore, Okla.

Casey Ingram had two sacrifice bunts on the night, both time moving
Courtney Medina up a base.
Addison Ard and
Haley Hardison each hit sacrifice fly balls to score runners and
Katera Eltsosie had two sacrifice flies with one in second inning and one in the sixth. Six sacrifice hits in one game is the most for LCU since having four against Oklahoma Baptist February 21, 2009. Four sacrifice flies in one game is the best for the Lady Chaps since having three against Indiana University Southeast March 7, 2009.
SCORE
Sydney Beuthien hit two two-run home runs to account for four of the Lady Chaps (31-15) runs. Both times at the plate Medina was on base. Medina reached base four times, going 2-for-2 with two walks. She scored all four times she got on base. Beuthien has hit at least two home runs in three game this season.
SITUATIONAL
LCU was 9-for-17 with runners in scoring position in the game. As a team the Lady Chaps got the runner home from third base 83% of the time going 5-for-6. The Lady Chaps were also able to drive in five runs with two outs, getting clutch hitting from the team.
PERFECT
Medina was a perfect 2-for-2 at the plate while drawing two walks. Ingram and
Annika Schwartzenberg were both perfect from the plate, as well.
MULTI
Medina, Beuthien,
Alyssa Hanks and
Lindzi Clemmer each had multiple hits in the game with Clemmer going 3-for-4 driving in three runs and scoring one herself.
STRIKEOUT
Katera Eltsosie (16-5) started in the circle for LCU going the distance allowing four runs off seven hits while striking out eight to earn her 16
th win of the season. Eight strikeouts are the highest she has had this season since striking out nine February 11, 2017 against Northwestern Oklahoma State.
HILLCATS
Megan Rosewell (22-17) started in the circle for Rogers State for the 37
th time this year and pitched the whole game giving up 12 runs on 13 hits while walking five to suffer her 17
th loss of the season. All four Hillcat runs were scored via the long ball with Morgan Blanchard hitting a solo-shot in the first inning and Danelle Day and Mikayla Waggnor hitting back-to-back bombs in the bottom of the sixth with Day's being a two-run shot.
