LCU HIGHLIGHTS
• Lubbock Christian University jumped to a 2-2-0 Heartland Conference record and a 3-5-0 overall record with a 2-1 win over Dallas Baptist University Saturday afternoon at LCU Soccer Field.
• The Chaparrals posted a .538 shots on goal percentage and also tied a season-high seven shots on goal for the day.

Parker O'Quinn threw down a .800 save percentage while making four saves for the game.

Louis Callaghan continued his scoring streak with two goals for the match.
HOW IT HAPPENED
• Callaghan opened up his scoring onslaught in the 63
rd minute on a pass from
Corey Hutchison. Callaghan received the pass at the top of the 18 and tucked it away in the nearside post.
• DBU's Travis Whitt evened the score up in the 85
th minute on a set piece just outside of the 18-yard box.
• Once again, Callaghan got his name in the scoring column in the 87
th minute. Hutchison ripped a shot that was deflected by the Dallas Baptist keeper. Callaghan set himself in position for the rebound and finished at the six-yard box.
GAME NOTES
• Lubbock Christian is a perfect 2-0-0 at home against the Patriots. All-time, the Chaps now own a 4-1-0 record over Dallas Baptist.
• The 2-1 win marks the first multiple goal performance of the season for the Chaparrals. Callaghan is the first LCU player to score multiple goals in a game since Kwame Adu-Wusu's two goals against Midwestern State in the 2015 season (10/5/15).

Corey Hutchison's two assists for the day makes him the Chaparral's season assist leader for the 2017 campaign.

Louis Callaghan created a two-game scoring streak for himself with his performance over the Patriots. His two-goal performance puts him at the top of the LCU stat sheet with three goals and six points on seven shots attempted.
UP NEXT
Lubbock Christian will remain at home for a Heartland Conference Western Division tilt with West Texas A&M University. The match is set for Sept. 28 at 3 p.m. on LCU Soccer Field. The Chaps are 2-3-0 all-time against the Buffs. In their prior meeting, WTAMU scored a late goal to defeat the Chaps in a double overtime match.
