Lubbock Christian University is set for their third game in Canyon this season and is seeking their first win on the hardwood of First United Bank Center. LCU, 4-2 on the season, is 0-2 in Canyon. They fell Friday night in the opening game of the Pak-A-Sak Thanksgiving Classic to Central Oklahoma 68-63. Saturday wraps up LCU's weekend in Canyon and their contest against Colorado State University – Pueblo marks their final game before conference play. LCU opens conference play Thursday facing Dallas Baptist University inside Rip Griffin Center.  Â

BLACK FRIDAY FLASHBACK
Jaylan Williams connected on six three-pointers and University of Central Oklahoma benefited off Williams' 18 points and a 21-8 scoring advantage in points off turnovers to open play at the Pak-A-Sak Thanksgiving Classic with a 68-63 win over Lubbock Christian University Friday night inside First United Bank Center.
LCU (18/47, 38.3%) edged UCO (21/55, 38.2%) in shooting for the game. The Bronchos, hitting three-pointers at a 43.5% clip, had 10 three-point field goals and 11 two-point field goals in the game. UCO shot 34.4% (11/32) inside the arc in the game.
Adarius Avery led all scorers and completed a double-double with 12 rebounds. Williams went 6-of-10 from three-point range to help the Bronchos to a 4-1 record.
Isaac Asrat led LCU with 19 points, and
Brennen Fowler was not far behind with 16 points. He also missed a double-double for a second consecutive game, finishing the game with nine rebounds.

LCU 1-3 in neutral site games last season, is 2-1 in neutral site contests this season. They defeated Colorado School of Mines (70-62) and No.18 Regis (63-58) in San Antonio, Texas to open the season.

His three double-doubles this season have him entering the week tied for fourth nationally in the category and leading the Heartland Conference. The national leaders have five this season. FIVE FACTS ABOUT CSU-P
- CSU-Pueblo is 2-3 this season and coming off a 105-71 loss Friday to nationally ranked West Texas A&M. Saturday marks their first neutral site game of the season.
- The ThunderWolves went 12-16 last season, going 9-13 in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC). They were slated to finish ninth this season in the RMAC Preseason Poll (out of 16 teams).
- CSU-P entered the week ranking fifth nationally in free-throw shooting, with a mark of 84.4% on the year. Friday, they went 8-of-13 (61.5%) from the charity stripe.
- Donovan Oldham leads the nation from the line, as he is 14-of-14 on the season (100%).
- Oldham, who has had two performances of over 25 points this season, including 31 against Wayland Baptist, leads the team averaging 17.6 points per game. He was held to seven points Friday.

THE SERIES AGAINST CSU-P
CSU-P went under the moniker University of Southern Colorado Indians (they were in their second year under the name after changing from Southern Colorado State College) when the two programs previously met, which was Dec. 17, 1977. LCU fell 91-74 in that contest. Â
