LCU HIGHLIGHTS
- A pair of late game heroics propelled Lubbock Christian University past a previously undefeated Newman University squad Saturday afternoon at LCU Soccer Field.
- LCU provided constant pressure against the Jets notching six shots on goal and 14 shots for the day.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Newman hopped in the scoring column first after an unassisted finish by Grace Linton in the 20
th minute. Linton capitalized on a misplay from LCU's Wise to finish on the open net.
- Windham brought the Lady Chaparrals level after a free kick on frame from
Hailey Phipps forced Newman's goalkeeper to deflect the shot away. Windham found herself in the perfect position to tuck the deflection away in the 67
th minute.

Dallas Sanders sent in a cross through the box that found
Makenna Pate's head, once again forcing Newman's keeper to deflect the shot. Scott then ran on to the loose ball for the finish in the 72
nd minute.
GAME NOTES
- Following the win, LCU moves to 2-4-0 on the season and 1-1-0 in Heartland Conference matches.
- The Lady Chaps now find themselves in fifth-place among conference standings.
- Saturday's contest against Newman marks the first multi-goal performance of the season by the Lubbock Christian squad.
