GREEENWOOD, Indiana (November 12, 2021) – Lubbock Christian University women's soccer player
Shadiana Haney was named to the Academic All-District Team which is selected by the College Sports Information Directors Association.
Haney, a senior defender and Lubbock native, was one of two captains for the Lady Chaps this season. She appeared in all but one game and played the second-most minutes on the team (1391), leading the defense to a goals against average of 1.00, which ranked near the top of the Lone Star Conference.
The district in which LCU competes is comprised of the Lone Star and Rocky Mountain Athletic Conferences. Haney was one of seven LSC players recognize by COSIDA. Majoring in Early Childhood Education, she has a perfect 4.0 GPA across her four years in college. She was also named to the LSC All-Academic Team in both the spring 2021 and 2021 seasons.
LCU finished the season with a winning record, going 8-7-2. It is their ninth winning record in 10 seasons under head coach
