Box Score PUEBLO, Colo. (September 15, 2022) – The Lubbock Christian University tennis program, playing their first duals match since 1981-82, claimed a season-opening duals victory in women's tennis with a 7-0 win over Colorado Christian. The match was part of the Pueblo Duals the Chaparrals and Lady Chaparrals are competing in at Pueblo City Park Tennis Complex.
 
Playing under NCAA Division II's 7-point scoring system (Colorado Christian is a Division III program), LCU won all six singles matches and three doubles matches for a 7-0 shutout. Anastassia Khrustaleva and Axelle Jacquemin teamed together, along with Michelle Trochez and Emily-Bo Meyer, as each team won their doubles match with 6-0 finals. Taylor Nichols and Oshini Herath won their doubles match 6-1. On the singles side, Khrustaleva won in a tiebreaker in the No.1 singles match. It was the closest of competitions, as no CC competitor scored higher that "2" in any set. Jacquemin (No.2), Trochez (No.3), Myere (No.4) Herath (No.5) and Rhodes (No.6) each won their matches. The wins for Herath (1-2), Meyer (1-3) and Trochez (1-3) were their first wins of the season, while Khrustaleva claimed her third win of the season (3-1).
