Box Score PUEBLO, Colo. (September 17, 2022) – The Lubbock Christian University Lady Chaparrals closed their play at the Pueblo Duals with a 4-3 victory over Colorado Mesa Saturday morning at City Park Tennis Complex.
 
The Lady Chaps won despite their continual issues of not gaining a point from doubles play. Their lone doubles win was by the tandem of Anastasiia Khrustaleva and Axelle Jacquemin, who are 4-0 in duals doubles this season. Heading into singles play trailing 1-0, they needed four singles victories. Khrustaleva and Jacquemin did their part, remaining unbeaten (4-0) in duals singles matches this season. In No.3 singles, Michelle Trochez improved to 3-1 in singles (in duals) with a convincing 6-1, 6-2 win. Emily-Bo Meyer lost her second set 6-3 in No.4 singles, but rallied to win the match tie-breaker 10-2 to clinch the duals victory for the Lady Chaps.

"The match today followed the same script as the match against Metro State (LCU's loss Friday). We dropped the doubles point and then got big wins from (Anastasiia) Khrustaleva, (Axelle) Jacquemin and (Michelle) Trochez at 1,2&3 singles. (Emily-Bo) Meyer clinched the match for us today with a 10-8 tiebreaker win at No.4 singles. I'm proud of our fight as we were definitely tired from playing four matches in a three-day span."
