LUBBOCK, Texas – Fresh off a 2-0 win over St. Edward's the Lubbock Christian University men's soccer team welcomes Texas A&M International to town for the last LSC match of the regular season and senior night.

CHAPARRAL HEADERS
- The Chaps enter Wednesday's match with a two-game win streak after topping St. Edward's last time out. Nako Amare got the scoring started when he found the back of the net in the 62nd minute. Saimon Gjeci extended the Chap lead just 41 seconds later when he scored his sixth goal of the season.
- The win over St. Edward's gave LCU their second conference win of the year and places them in fifth place in the LSC standings entering Wednesday's match.
- The Chaps' seven draws are the most draws in a season in program history.
- LCU have taken 181 shots, 83 of which have been on goal.
- The Chaps average 1.38 goals per game on 11.3 shots a game.

- Tom Miles has been one of the best goalkeepers in the nation this season, ranking 8th nationally in total saves with 86.
- Miles also ranks 10th nationally in saves per game with 5.73.
- He is first in the Lone Star Conference in saves and saves per game.
- Miles has recorded six shutouts, the second most in the Lone Star Conference.
- Tom was named the LSC Goalkeeper of the Week on Oct. 17.
THE NOT-SO-SECRET WEAPON
- The Chaps have been led offensively by Graduate Student Pablo Galietero Diez who has recorded six goals and two assists this season.
- He ranks top-10 in the Lone Star in shots, shots on goal, goals and points.
- In his career, Pablo has recorded 26 goals and 12 assists.
SUPER SAIMON
- Saimon Gjeci has made a huge impact in his first season with the Chaps, scoring six goals and adding an assist.
- He is top-10 in the LSC in goals this season.
FURTHER BACK
- The Lubbock Christian men's soccer program began in 2010 with a 3-1 win against the University of the Southwest (N.M.). On Nov. 9, 2021, in the opening round of the LSC Tournament, the Chaps won their 100th match in program history, rolling over UT Permian Basin 6-0.
- The Chap program enters the 2023 season with an overall record of 108-89-27.
THE SERIES WITH TEXAS A&M INTERNATIONAL
- The Chaps have a 6-4-0 record all-time against the Dustdevils.
- Last time they met was Oct. 19, 2022, in Laredo. LCU came away with a 2-1 victory in the match.
- LCU is 2-2-0 all-time at home against TAMIU.

- Texas A&M International is coming off a 3-1 loss to St. Mary's on Saturday (Oct. 28).
- The Dustdevils enter the match in eighth place in the LSC standings with eight points.
- TAMIU has one of the most prolific offenses in the nation coming into Wednesday's match, ranking 16th in scoring offense and 13th in goals scored nationally.
- Their high-powered offense is led by the trio of Johan Portales, Lassana Diakite, and Jordan Mase.
- Johan has recorded 11 goals and seven assists this season. He ranks top-3 in the LSC in goals, game-winning goals, shots on goal, assists, and points.
- Diakite has recorded nine goals and four assists of his own. He is top-5 in the LSC in goals and points.
- Mase has scored eight goals and dished out five assists this year. He is top-7 in the LSC in shots, assists, and points.
- Goalkeeper Gal Grodeski has made 49 saves on 157 shots faced this season. He allows 1.56 goals a game and has a .681 save percentage.
- The Dustdevils are coached by Claudio Arias who is in his 17th season at the helm.
