LUBBOCK, Texas - The Lubbock Christian University women's soccer team got a pair of goals from Lexi De La Cruz in a 3-1 win over Oklahoma Christian Wednesday at the LCU Soccer & Track Complex.
The Lady Chaps improved to 5-3-3 overall and 2-2-1 in Lone Star play after the victory.
How it Happened
- LCU broke the 0-0 tie when De La Cruz scored her sixth goal of the season in the 23rd minute, assisted by Emily Douglas.
- The Lady Chaps tacked on another score on a goal from Douglas -- her third goal of the season -- in the 33rd minute, assisted by Kenley Blevins.
- Oklahoma Christian got on the board to make it a 2-1 game on Kyla Lovelace's 49th-minute goal, assisted by Ruta Andrews.
- The Lady Chaps made it a 3-1 lead with an 84th-minute goal from De La Cruz, her second goal of the match and seventh of the year. Douglas and Hannah Irons assisted the goal.
- The 3-1 score held to the end of the game.
