Lubbock Christian is 5-22 all-time against Southern Nazarene. The last time the two programs met was last season, with SNU edging the Chaps 66-57 in Bethany. The Crimson Storm won the first ever meeting 103-94 on Nov. 30, 1970.

Tiras Morton has made a huge impact in his first season in Lubbock. He is leading the team with 17.8 points and 9.3 rebounds per game. He has been very efficient on the offensive end shooting 54.5 percent from the field and 65.6 percent from the foul line. Morton has also been the anchor of the LCU defense, protecting the rim and guarding opponent ball handlers. He swatted five shots and grabbed a steal in the first four games.

Najeeb Muhammad has commanded the Chap offense averaging 14 points and a team leading 2.5 assists per game. Muhammad is shooting 52.4 percent from the field and 42.9 percent from behind the arc. He has been greedy on the defensive end collecting seven steals this season.

Ethan Duncan is leading the Lone Star Conference with 15 made three pointers. Duncan is shooting a very impressive 50 percent from downtown. He is averaging 13.9 points and 3.75 made threes a night.
LAST TIME OUT
Lubbock Christian beat Regis (CO.) 73-52 in San Antonio on Saturday afternoon (Nov. 11). The Chaps dominated from the start en route to the blowout as three players scored in double-figures. For a second consecutive game,
Tiras Morton led the team as he dropped 23 points and grabbed nine rebounds.
LOOKING AT THE CRIMSON STORM
- Southern Nazarene finished 27-5 in 2022-23, winning the GAC Regular Season title before falling in the Sweet 16 of the NCAA Tournament to Minnesota-Duluth.
- The Crimson Storm opened the 2023-24 season with wins over Nebraska Kearney and UNT Dallas.
- Sophomore Cam Slaymaker is leading the way for SNU, scoring 23 points a game shooting 54.5 percent from the field.
