LUBBOCK, Texas - The Lubbock Christian University men's soccer team and Oklahoma Christian finished in a 2-2 draw Saturday (Sept. 23) at the LCU Soccer & Track Complex.
Lubbock Christian moved to 4-1-2 on the season following the tie.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- LCU broke the 0-0 tie when Lucas Carli recorded his third goal of the season in the 56th minute, assisted by Pablo Galietero Diez.
- The Chaps tacked on another score on a goal from Pablo Galietero Diez -- his second goal of the season -- in the 62nd minute, assisted by Jordan Jayapuram.
- Oklahoma Christian narrowed the gap to 2-1 on Ryo Higano's 75th-minute goal, assisted by Alvar Silva.
- The Eagles knotted it up at 2-2 with a 77th-minute goal from Ellis Jones. The goal ended the scoring in the game.
GAME NOTES
- Tom Miles recorded four saves for the Chaparrals out of 12 total Eagles shots.
- Lubbock Christian totaled three shots on goal.
- Oklahoma Christian totalled 10 corner kicks, while LCU only had two.
