th ranked Angelo State to the Hub City for a LSC West Division matchup on Saturday afternoon.

Prior to tipoff of the women's game, the LCU Advancement office will be hosting another tailgate sponsored by Johnsonville. The tailgate will be held at the front entrance of the Rip Griffin Center and free food will be served from 11:30 a.m. until the start of the 1 p.m. game.

Saturday will be the 26
th meeting all-time between the Chaps and Rams. Angelo State has controlled the series, holding an 18-7 record over LCU. The Chaps have turned it around lately, winning four out of the last five matchups.

- The Rams are in their 2nd season with Head Coach Vinay Patel at the helm.
- ASU comes into Saturday's game with a 12-2 record and are 7-1 in Lone Star play.

Tiras Morton secured his seventh double-double on the season with 24 points and 10 rebounds to help LCU beat UT Permian Basin 79-69 at home Thursday night.
In addition to Morton's strong output, the Chaparrals were led by
Najeeb Muhammad, who had 18 points, and by
Aaron Gonzales, who added 10 points and seven rebounds.
Gonzales pulled down five offensive rebounds to pace the Lubbock Christian offense which grabbed 16 boards and turned them into 15 second chance points.
The Lubbock Christian defense held UTPB shooters to only 37.5 percent from the field. The Falcons did not get many second opportunities on the offensive end, as they grabbed only seven offensive rebounds and scored 12 second chance points while Lubbock Christian pulled down 26 defensive rebounds.
Last Time Out – Angelo State
Angelo State suffered their first loss in two months on Thursday evening inside the First United Bank Center to No. 4 West Texas A&M, with the Buffs claiming an 88-73 victory over the Rams.
Kevon Godwin led the Rams with 21 points on 7-for-17 shooting from the field, making half of his six attempts from three and leading all players with six assists on the evening.
Willie Guy added 15 points, making a pair of threes, and grabbed five rebounds. He had three assists and recorded the Rams' only steal; he also set a new career-best with two blocked shots.
