LUBBOCK, Texas (October 12, 2024) – Lubbock Christian University returns home for a 3:30 p.m. Lone Star Conference matchup against visiting UT Tyler at the LCU Soccer & Track Complex. The Chaparrals are riding high after an exciting 4-3 victory over Texas A&M International on Wednesday, marking their highest goal tally of the season.

LCU steps into Saturday's contest 4-3-3 overall and 1-1-1 in Lone Star action, which has them seated at fifth in the conference. The Patriots head into the match Saturday holding a 2-4-3 overall record and 0-1-2 conference record. In their last match, UT Tyler was on the losing end of a narrow 2-1 score at the hands of Midwestern State. UT Tyler's offense is headed by Julian Smith, as he ranks 10th in the conference in shots (18) and 12th in shots on goal (8). Much like Lubbock Christian, the Patriots have a solid goalkeeper of their own in Alan Johnson, who ranks 10th in the Lone Star Conference in saves with 24 and also ranks sixth in saves per game with an average of 3.0 per match.
