LUBBOCK, Texas (November 7, 2024) – Lubbock Christian University fell 3-0 at home to Texas Woman's Thursday in the regular-season finale for both teams in the Lone Star Conference. With a win, LCU would have secured a spot in the LSC Championships and hosted an opening-round match, but back-to-back losses to end the season, combined with Thursday's LSC results, dropped the Lady Chaps to eighth in the standings. This marks LCU's second consecutive season finishing just outside the playoff picture.
Lubbock Christian ends their regular season with a record of 8-7-3 overall and 6-5-2 mark in Lone Star Conference play. Texas Woman's wraps up regular season play with an 11-3-3 overall record and 7-2-3 in Lone Star matches. The Pioneers lock down the three-seed in the Lone Star Conference Championships, earning the right to host the opening round of the tournament in Denton.

Coming out of the break, Texas Woman's picked up where they left off, doubling their lead in the 52nd minute. Bailee Radney was responsible for the goal and was assisted by Valdez.
The Pioneers added another goal less than three minutes later, as Avery Rylee scored unassisted to put Texas Woman's up 3-0. After the goal, goalkeeper Megan Mirabal was subbed out in favor of Emma Wright.
