LAWTON, Okla. (April 19, 2024) – No.22 Cameron had everything go their way Friday at Streich-Henry Tennis Complex, as the Aggies jumped out to a 5-0 lead before topping No.26 Lubbock Christian University 5-2 in a Lone Star Conference Road dual.
The doubles point was decided in No.1-doubles. The Aggies claimed No.3-doubles and LCU's tandem of

Anastasiia Opolska was unable to upset No.48 Vasilisa Polunova / Anastasia Uspenskaia, as they fell 6-4.
The Aggies rolled with the momentum, off the doubles point, in singles play, as they clinched the dual winning the first four completed singles for a 5-0 lead. LCU did close the dual winning No.5-singles (
Mariia Koroleva) and No.6-singles (
Maya Adler). Koroleva relied on a 10-5 tiebreaker in the third set to win her match. Adler was playing No.6-singles for the first time this season.
Koroleva also claimed her 24
th singles win of the season (24-3 overall and 19-1 in duals) and has won 12 consecutive singles matches. In doubles, De Bernardo / Trochez claimed their team-leading 18
th win and are 18-9 this season.
LCU's loss drops them 4-5 in LSC play and they are 19-6 overall. They make a quick trip to Fort Smith, Ark. Saturday for their regular season finale against Arkansas Fort Smith. The match has been moved indoors at Fort Smith Athletic Club with a 9 a.m. start.
