Box Score 2 LUBBOCK, Texas (September 8, 2024) – The Lubbock Christian University women's tennis program split into a pair of individual competitions to open the 2024-25 campaign, as the Lady Chaps had members competing at the Brother Al Invitational in San Antonio, Texas (hosted by St. Mary's) and in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex area competing in the Dallas Baptist (DBU) Invitational.
In San Antonio, the Lady Chaps had representation in three of the singles Flight Finals and claimed a flight title in doubles play.
Mariia Koroleva was the lone Lady Chaps member to claim a flight title, as she claimed Flight 3 with a 6-1, 6-2 win in the final against Paulo Garrote of St. Mary's.
Andrea De Bernardo (Flight 1) and
Maya Adler (Flight 4) each made it to the final but fell. De Bernardo lost to Ruth Hill of Trinity (Texas) and Adler fell to Texas A&M Kingsville's Luna Jokanovic.
In doubles play, De Bernardo and
Axelle Jacquemin were teamed-up and claimed the Flight B title with a 6-4 win over Manuela Turolo and Jokanovic of TAMUK.
