Lady Chaps Duo Named to D2CCA All-South Central Region Team Following Standout Seasons

SAN ANTONIO, Texas (May 13, 2025) - Lubbock Christian University's Kendra Levesque and Baylea Myers were each named to the 2025 D2CCA NCAA Division II Softball All-South Central Region Team, following standout seasons that helped guide the Lady Chaps to their fifth NCAA regional appearance in program history.

Levesque claims her first D2CCA First Team honor and becomes the fourth First Team recipient in program history. The Albuquerque, N.M., native adds to her decorated graduate season after also earning NFCA First Team All-Region, All-Lone Star Conference First Team, and LSC Golden Glove accolades. The slugging first baseman leads LCU in nearly every offensive category, posting a .395 batting average with 24 doubles (second-most in NCAA Division II), 13 home runs, 57 RBI, and a 1.206 OPS. Her 137 total bases rank 16th nationally, and her .741 slugging percentage is fifth-best in the LSC. Levesque leads the team with 15 multi-RBI performances and owns LCU's longest hitting streak of the season, ending the season with hits in her final 19 games. She also made national headlines earlier this spring by reaching base in 17 consecutive plate appearances—tying for the 16th-longest hit streak in Division II history with 10 straight hits—and was honored as the NFCA National Player of the Week during that stretch.

Myers, a senior third baseman from Keller, Texas, earned D2CCA Second Team honors for the first time in her career, following her second straight All-LSC Second Team selection. A mainstay in the top portion of the LCU lineup, Myers hit .383 with 14 doubles, eight homers, and 42 RBI while collecting 70 hits—ranking 10th in the LSC. She also scored 48 runs and tallied 110 total bases, helping fuel LCU's nationally-ranked offense that sits second in Division II in total doubles (116) and third in doubles per game (2.00). Defensively, she ranks sixth in the LSC with 113 assists and is averaging 1.95 assists per game at the hot corner. Myers was second on the squad in multi-RBI games (13) and led the team in multi-hit games with 22.

This marks the third season that LCU has produced multiple D2CCA All-Region honorees, and the 2025 selections increase the program's all-time total to 12 since becoming eligible in 2016.
