This fall, LCU's tennis teams will embark on a unique journey as the schedule exclusively features individual tournaments, marking a departure from previous years where dual matches were also included in the fall semester. The focus will be on individual excellence, with athletes aiming to qualify for the distinguished ITA Cup in Rome, Georgia. The men's team seeks its first qualifier since 2023, while the women's team aims for a consecutive qualification, following the historic achievement of
Andrea De Bernardo and
Axelle Jacquemin, who became the first Lady Chaparrals to qualify for the ITA Cup last season.
The fall schedule is not just a series of competitions but a continuation of LCU's inspiring narrative. Both teams are coming off an extraordinary 2024-25 season, with each qualifying for the NCAA Regionals. The men's team notably reached the national semifinals, marking their first appearance at the national championships in Altamonte Springs, Florida.
With the spring schedule set to be announced later in the fall, anticipation is already building for a year that could further cement LCU's growing legacy in collegiate tennis. For more details, visit the full schedule at http://www.lcuchaps.com.
