RICHARDSON, Texas (October 10, 2026) — Lubbock Christian University's defense allowed just one shot on goal as they fought UT Dallas to a 0-0 draw on Saturday at the UTD Soccer Complex.
The Lady Chaps are 8-2-4 overall and 5-1-4 in conference play. The Comets are 8-3-2 overall and 4-3-2 in conference play.
LCU kept UTD off the board through an early pressure spell, as the home side hit the right post, sent two shots off target and earned a corner between 11:39 and 22:10 while the score remained 0-0.
Earlier in that stretch,
Kaslee Roskelley generated two first-half attempts for the Lady Chaps, missing right in the 11th minute and high in the 16th.
Maya Quinones put the Lady Chaps' only recorded shot on goal of the first half in the 31st minute, forcing Melyna Martinez to make a save to the bottom left.
Lubbock Christian later earned back-to-back corners in the 37th minute during a physical closing stretch that included multiple fouls and two UTD yellow cards, and the half finished without either team scoring.
UTD put together early chances after halftime, including shots off the woodwork in the 53rd and 71st minutes, while
Emma Wright made her only save in the 65th minute to preserve the scoreless match.
The Lady Chaps created their best late push around the 80th minute, when Roskelley had a shot saved, the visitors earned a corner kick, and
Araceli Patterson followed with a shot over the top. UTD came back with two shots and two corners between the 83rd and 86th minutes, but the Lady Chaps defended through the sequence and earned the road draw.
