Zoric led the charge on the day, stretching her win streak to five matches and improving to a team-best 11-6 overall (5-1 in duals). De Bernardo was unbeaten in both singles and doubles, while the No. 1 tandem of De Bernardo and Zoric remained perfect in dual play. Jacquemin and Luders also posted two doubles victories, and Herath and Jativa contributed in both doubles and singles during the opening match. With the wins, LCU improved to 3-0 all-time against Seward County, last hosting the Saints in 2023.
While the NCAA does not factor junior college opponents into national team ratings, the matches count toward LCU's overall record and are recognized by the ITA and other rating associations. The Lady Chaparrals now turn their attention to a Division I test Saturday, traveling to Albuquerque for a 3 p.m. (CT) matchup against New Mexico at McKinnon Family Tennis Stadium.
