TIPOFF
Lubbock Christian University wraps up its stretch of three games in five days on Saturday, as they take on DBU at 7:30 p.m. at the Burg Center. This is a makeup date from Jan. 24, when the originally scheduled game was postponed due to the winter storms across Texas. And it's a matchup with major Lone Star Conference tournament implications. The Chaps and Patriots are currently tied atop the league standings, along with Eastern New Mexico, who has wins against both teams. DBU has the easiest remaining schedule of the three, facing only one team with a winning record after Saturday, and that team is UT Tyler, which is 10-9.

FIVE THINGS TO FOCUS ON
1 | There's no way around it. Junior Chaparral forward
Antonio Pusateri is one of the best rebounders in all of Division II. He pulled down 13 boards on Thursday, giving him 256 on the season now, which is second nationally. His 15 double-doubles are also second nationally, and his 11.1 rebounds per game rank fifth in the nation. He is currently on pace for 333 rebounds, which would be the third-most by a Chap in a season in program history.
2 | The Chaps have kept their turnovers in the single-digits in three straight games and now eight times this season. Their average of 10.6 turnovers per game is the second-fewest in the LSC and ranks 24
th in the nation. They rank seventh nationally in assist to turnover ratio at 1.56.
3 | Senior forward
Amondo Miller Jr. notched his 11
th game with at least 20 points this season on Thursday night, scoring 24 against UT Dallas. He leads the league and ranks Nol 19 in Division II with 443 points scored this season, and recently surpassed the 1000-point mark for his collegiate career.
4 | Lubbock Christian is the first LSC team to get to 20 wins this season. It is the third-straight year for them to reach the 20-win mark and the sixth time under head coach
Todd Duncan. The Chaps had only reached the 20-win mark five times prior to his taking over the program.
5 | The Chaps are allowing just 67 points per game, and have limited opponents below 70 in four straight games. Their defense is the second-best in the league and ranks 30
th in Division II.

SCOUTING THE PATRIOTS
- DBU ranks second in the conference in offense, averaging 82.7 points per game
- The Patriots won the Lone Star Conference regular season and tournament title last year before winning the South Central Regional to advance to the Elite Eight
- Dallas Baptist ranks ninth nationally and first in the league with 37.39 bench points per game, with only two starters averaging double-figures
- After losing their first three games of the season, the Patriots rattled off an 11-game win streak in the middle of the season, and they have lost just twice in league play
- DBU shoots just 61.0 percent from the free throw line, which is the worst mark in the LSC
Â
THE SERIES WITH THE PATRIOTS
Lubbock Christian and Dallas Baptist have met 54 times since the Chaps became a four-year institution, with DBU holding the all-time edge 34-20. In the 20 games played since LCU moved into the NCAA, they are 8-12 against the Patriots. Last season, the two teams split a pair of games, with LCU winning on the road in Dallas in the regular season and DBU getting revenge with a win over the Chaps in the LSC Tournament Championship game.
