Two Chaps Named All-Region, Miller Wins Player of the Year

SAN ANGELO, Texas (March 12, 2026) – Lubbock Christian University forwards Amondo Miller Jr. and Antonio Pusateri were recognized on Division II Conference Commissioner's Association All-Region Teams, and Miller was named the South Central Region Player of the Year, the Association announced on Thursday.
 
This is the second straight season for a Chap to win the region's Player of the Year award, after Ethan Duncan won it last season. Miller was also named to the All-Region First Team, while Pusateri earned a spot on the All-Region Second Team. Lubbock Christian was the only team in the region with multiple honorees.
 
In his senior season, Miller is averaging 20.8 points per game, which leads the Lone Star Conference and ranks 18th in all of Division II. He shoots 50.2 percent from the field and is also a contributor on the glass with an average of 8.4 rebounds per game. He leads the team with 44 steals and has added in 97 assists and 14 blocks.
 
Miller was named the Lone Star Conference Player of the Year and to the All-Conference First Team. Three times during the regular season he was named the LSC Offensive Player of the week, and he started off the 2025-26 season by winning Tournament MVP at the Small College Basketball Hall of Fame Classic.
 
Pusateri is in his first season the Chaps after transferring in from City College of San Francisco. He had an immediate impact, averaging a double-double with 16.8 points and 10.8 rebounds per game. His 21 double-doubles this season are the second-most in the nation, and he is shooting an extremely efficient 59.8 percent from the field.
 
Pusateri was the league's Newcomer of the Year, as well as a selection to the All-Conference First Team and the LSC All-Defensive Team. He was the league's Defensive Player of the Week three times in the season and Offensive Player of the Week once.
 
The Chaps are currently 27-5 on the season, matching their program record for wins. They finished tied for second in the Lone Star Conference and enter the NCAA Tournament this weekend as the No. 3 seed at the South Central Regional. They will take on the No. 6 seed Black Hills State in the first round at noon on Saturday at the Burg Center in Dallas, Texas.
