UT Permian Basin starter Jessica Cantrell (12-9) took the loss despite a complete-game performance, allowing three runs on five hits, while also accounting for the Falcons' lone run with a solo home run.
HOW IT HAPPENED

The Lady Chaps turned the game over to Farrar in the sixth, and the junior right-hander closed the door. She worked around a two-out single in the sixth and retired the Falcons in order in the seventh, sealing the 3-1 victory. Clark and Farrar combined to limit UT Permian Basin to just three hits, as LCU played clean defensively and controlled the game from start to finish.
