LADY CHAP HEADERS

• Lubbock Christian University will try and remain unbeaten in Lone Star Conference play when they take on Sul Ross at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday in Alpine, Texas
• With two goals in the win against Oklahoma Christian, LCU forward Kaslee Roskelley now has eight points on the season, which is tied for the sixth-most in the LSC
• Three Lone Star Conference teams remain undefeated on the season, including Midwestern State (6-0), Texas Woman's (6-0) and Dallas Baptist (5-0)
• The Lady Chaps have only met the Lobos twice on the soccer field in program history, going 2-0 in those matchups, including last year's 5-0 at the LCU Soccer & Track Complex
• LCU has only lost once through its first six matches, making this their best start to a season since 2021, when they did not lose their second match until the 10th game of the year

 
ROAD JOURNAL
The Lady Chaps have gone undefeated through their first four road games this season, beating Western Colorado, CSU-Pueblo and Oklahoma Christian. Counting Wednesday's contest, there are six road games left on the 2026 schedule. LCU went 4-3-1 away from home in 2025, marking the first time they were better than .500 on the road since 2019. Lobo Soccer Field was built in 2015 and updated in 2023. It features a natural grass playing surface.
 
MULTI MADNESS
With goals in each half against Oklahoma Christian, Lubbock Christian senior forward Kaslee Roskelley became the third different Lady Chap this season with a multi-goal game. Roskelley scored the game-tying goal in the 27^th minutes and then put LCU ahead with a 56^th minute goal. She now leads the team in points with eight. She joined Logan Holloway and Journey Curs as LCU players with a brace this season. Both Holloway and Curs accomplished the feat in LCU's 8-2 win against Western Colorado. No Lady Chap has had a hat trick this season.
 
ALL THE WRIGHT PLACES
Senior goalkeeper Emma Wright made four saves in the win against the Eagles, all of which came in the second half, to preserve the Lady Chap win. A starter in all 18 games last season and every game against a Division II opponent this year, Wright has spent 2,672 minutes on the field in her LCU career. Earlier this season she surpassed the 100 save mark as a collegian and she now has 118. She is 13-11-5 overall with a 1.04 goals against average and .792 save percentage in her career.
 
DOWN ON THE CORNER
Lubbock Christian has been far and away better than their opponents so far this season at earning corner kicks. So far, they have drawn 27 while allowing just 11. Their season-high in corners came in the win at CSU-Pueblo, when they had eight. In the two matches against Wayland Baptist and Western Colorado, they did not allow any corner kicks, giving them a stretch this season of 344 minutes and seven seconds without a corner allowed. LCU is 3-1-0 when they finish with more corner kicks.
 
IN THEIR DEFENSE
The Lady Chaps held Oklahoma Christian to just nine shots last Saturday, which was the fewest by an opponent in a game this season. LCU's goals against average this season is 1.17, which ranks sixth in the LSC. Lubbock Christian opponents are averaging 11.3 shots per game and putting just 48.5 percent of those shots on frame. Freshman Araceli Patterson has anchored the back line, leading the team with 461 minutes played in her first collegiate campaign.
 
HOW CAN I HELP YOU?
On their 16 goals scored so far in 2026, LCU has tallied 13 assists, or 2.00 per game which is the fourth-best mark in the conference. Nine different Lady Chaps have assisted at least one goal this year, including Claire Jacobson, whose assisted the game-winning goal against OC for her first of the year. Three players have multiple assists, including Rotan, who leads the team with three, Roskelley and Curs. Rotan's three assists are also tied for the third-most among LSC players.
 
SCOUTING THE LOBOS

• Sul Ross has not won a game yet this season but did draw 0-0 with CSU-Pueblo to open their 2026 campaign
• Kiersten Rowland is the only Lobo to have found the back of the net so far this year, scoring a pair of goals against Palm Beach Atlantic that SRSU lost 3-2
• Head coach John Dominguez is in his sixth season leading the Lobos and has coached nine All-Conference selections in that time
• Kat Graves has handled the majority of the goalkeeping duties for SRSU, making a league-leading 49 saves with an .817 save percentage in 434 minutes of action
• SRSU's scoring average of 0.4 goals per game is tied with Eastern New Mexico for the lowest mark in the league
