Pintado overcame a season-opening injury and appeared in 33 games... He ranked eighth in the Heartland Conference with a .365 batting average... The shortstop had only 15 strikeouts in 148 plate appearances for a 0.1 strikeouts per plate appearance... Pintado, a National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association Preseason All-Region selection, finished the season with 50 hits and five doubles...

The All-Heartland Conference First Team selection, appeared in 48 games last season and hit .368... Finished second in the conference in at-bats (185), third in plate appearances (213) and sacrifice bunts (10), tied for third in hits (68), fourth in runs (45) sixth in total bases (86) and tied for sixth in hitting (.368)... The shortstop was sixth in the conference in fielding assists with 120. He only struck out 15 times in 213 plate appearances.
