Junior College
Joined the Chaps after a JUCO career at New Mexico Junior College (Hobbs, N.M.), where he hit .420 in 37 games during the 2015 season. He hit.453 in conference play with a .576 on base percentage. Appeared in 15 games as a freshman hitting .290.

Played in the Perfect Game Collegiate Baseball League with the Glen Falls Golden Eagles (Glen Falls, NY) and with the St. Eustache Bisons of the Ligue de Baseball Junior Élite du Québec (LBJÉQ) (.440 with 15 doubles). Has played on the Canadian Junior National Team (2011) and played alongside Chap pitcher Guillaume Blanchette on the U21 Canadian National Championship team. Full name is Jean-Philippe Rousseau.
