Junior College
Rix comes to LCU from Seward County Community College in Liberal, Kan., where he primarily played third base for his two seasons there. In 2015, he was second on the squad in hitting with a .343 average. In 49 games (46 starts), he produced six double, two home runs and 41 RBI. In 2014, Rix had a slow start but bounced back to have himself a quality first year for the Saints, hitting .266 with hits in 20 of his final 25 games of the year.  He had 12 multi-hit games for Seward in 2014.  Hit a team best .438 with 26 RBI's while also stealing a pair of bases in the fall season. He redshirted the 2013 season. 
 
High School
Prior to Seward County, Rix prepped at Canon City High School. He played in the 2012 Colorado State Tournament (final four finish) and participated in the 2012 Colorado Rockies Futures Game. Also productive in the classroom, Rix was named Academic All-State in 2011 and 2012 in both baseball and football.
