Played and started in all 29 of the Chaps contests... Averaged 16.8 points, 4.4 rebounds and 1.6 assists per contest... 46.0% average from three-point range... 46.4% from the field... Named All-Heartland Conference Honorable Mention.

Prior to LCU
While spending his first two collegiate seasons at Texas A&M – Commerce, Asrat averaged 6.5 points per game and 56.5% from behind the three-point arc.

High School
As a high school junior at Plano East, Asrat was voted to the Texas Association of Basketball Coaches All-Region team as well as the UIL District 10-5A All-District squad. He was also named Offensive Player of the Year for District 10-5A his junior year. In his senior season, Asrat was a first team All-District selection in addition to being chosen to the TABC All-Region and Academic All-State teams. Asrat was also picked to be a part of the North Texas Basketball Coaches Association’s All-Star Game. The Plano native was a two-time letterman at Plano East High School, where he averaged 21 points per game and holds the school record for most made three-pointers in a contest (8).
