2021 (LCU) 
Contributing mainly as a starter for the first time in his LCU career, Herrera went 6-2 in 13 appearances as a junior. the Odessa native allowed just 44 earned runs on 63 hits in 51.2 innings of work. He walked just 28 batters while striking out 35, posting a WHIP of 1.76 for the season. He had his best outing of the season on March 12 at Texas A&M International, when he pitched 6.1 innings, allowing three runs with no walks and 11 strikeouts. 

2020 (LCU)
Herrera pitched eight times during the 2020 COVID-19 shortened season, six times out of the bullpen and twice as a starter. He was on the mound for 21 and two thirds innings, allowing 19 earned runs on 28 hits in that time while striking out 17 batters. His one win on the mound during the season came on 3/1 at Texas A&M International, when he threw five innings of relief, allowing just four hits and striking out two.

2019 (LCU)
During his sophomore campaign, Herrera made eight appearances, mostly out of the bullpen. He gave up 15 earned runs in 14.1 innings on the mound, striking out 13 batters in that time. His one start came against New Mexico Highlands on March 26^th. He set new career-highs in innings pitched (5.0) and strikeouts (6) in the win over the Cowboys.

2018 (LCU)
As a freshman Herrera got into 12 games on the mound and pitched exactly 12 innings... Struck out eight batters in that time, collecting two wins and two saves.

High School
Originally born in Lubbock, Texas, Herrera was a four-year letterwinner in Odessa, Texas at Odessa High.... The right-handed pitcher was a two-time All-District selection as a utility player and as a pitcher... Has played American Legion amateur baseball for Big Bend Post 79 Rough Riders...
