Competed in six meets during the season and recorded a new personal record 6K time of 23:21.1 at the Heartland Conference Championships where she placed 20th.Â

Posted a number of collegiate bests during indoor season including the 3000-meter (11:17.92 - Red Raider Invite), mile (5:46.41 - UCO Open) and the 5000-meter (18:58.39 - GVSU Big Meet). She also posted a collegiate best time in the 3000-meter steeplechase at 12:09.80 in the Oliver Jackson Twilight Meet. She went on to place sixth in that event at the LSC Indoor Championships.Â
2017-18
XC
Ran at five meets during the season, recording a collegiate best time of 20:15.9 in a 5K race at the South Plain Cross Country Invite. She place 29th a the Heartland Conference Championships with a 6K time of 24:27.3.Â
T&F
Ran long distance during indoor season, including the 30000m and 5000m, which she ran at the LSC Indoor Championships. There, Perez placed 18th with a time of 20:41.99. During outdoor season she continued in the 5000-meter and added the 1500. Her collegiate best time in the 1500 came at the Oliver Jackson Twilight Meet, where she placed 13th with a time of 5:04.97.
