2021 (Hill College)
Buchholz was an every day player at Hill College as a sophomore, seeing action in 47 games. He was fourth on the team in on-base percentage at .461. Hit .289 (27-128) with five doubles, two triples and 13 home runs (third-most on the team), while drawing a team-second 36 walks. Scored 35 times and drove in 37 runs. 

2020 (Hill College)
In the season cut short after 23 games due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Buchholz saw action in 17 games. He hit only .244, but posted an on-base percentage of .456 because of the 13 walks he drew. Buchholz had a pair of doubles, one triple and two home runs, scoring 12 times and driving in 10 runs overall.

2019 (Hill College)
As a freshman, he played in only 12 games, collecting five hits in 22 at-bats (.227) with three walks. Somehow, three of his five hits were triples, which tied him for the team lead in that category. He drove in six runs and scored three times himself.
