In his first season at LCU, Sage ran the 10K and the four-mile run for the first time, finishing with a time of 22:28.2 in the four-mile at the Texas Tech Open, and with a time of 35:24.2 in the 10K at the 2021 NCAA South Central Regional. His time of 27:45.3 at the D-II Preview event in te 8K is his personal best, and his highest career finish, finishing 14th.
