2024 (Lubbock Christian)
As a junior, McCool was named to the D2CCA and NCBWA All-American Second Teams, the All-Region First Team for both organizations as well as the ABCA, the All-LSC First Team and the LSC All-Academic Team, where he was also named the Academic Player of the Year. He was twice selected as the LSC Hitter of the Week (3/4, 4/29). Hit for the cycle on 5/18 against UT Permian Basin. Broke the program record for doubles in a single game on 5/25 with four against Angelo State. McCool hit .377 for the year and was second on the team with a .723 slugging percentage. He hit 23 doubles, four triples and a team-leading 14 home runs. He reached base at a .460 clip and was a perfect 7-7 in stolen bases. 

2023 (LCU)
McCool was named 3rd Team All-Conference in his second season in Lubbock. McCool appeared in 57 games, starting in 51. He recorded 79 hits in 199 at-bats for a .397 batting average. He hit a team leading 14 homeruns and racked up 63 RBIs. McCool had a .719 slugging precentage, scored 60 runs, and stole five bases. 

2022 (LCU)
McCool played in 15 games, starting in 11 of those in his first season in Lubbock. Recorded eight hits in 33 at-bats and scored 11 runs. Hit two home runs and had 11 RBIs. Went 1-for-1 with two runs scored and an RBI in his first career collegiate game on Apr. 9 against Eastern New Mexico. Hit first collegiate home run on Apr. 10 against ENMU, and then hit his second career home run five days later against Cameron in a game he had four RBIs and scored two runs. Drew 12 walks for an OBP of .435.

Prior to LCU
McCool was named to the New Mexico Baseball Coaches Association All-State First Team and played for the Albuquerque Baseball Academy as well.
