2021 (LCU)
Acrey was the relief ace of the Chaparral staff, leading the team with a 3.00 and tying for the lead in appearances with 18. He was 4-2 on the mound, all out of the bullpen, with a pair of saves in 48 innings pitched. He struck out 42 batters and limited opponents to just a .257 batting average. His best performance of the season and his career came on May 3, against UT Tyler. With his team down 7-0 after just two innings, Acrey closed out the game, allowing just two unearned runs and allowing the Chaps to come all the way back and win 12-8. The Lubbock native thre 103 pitches (66 for strikes) and struck out eight batters in the win. His performance earned him LSC Pitcher of the Week honors the following week. 

2020 (LCU)
Acrey pitched eight times, including one start, posting a 5.70 earned run average in 23 and two thirds innings. He allowed 23 hits in that time while striking out 18 and walking eight, limiting opponents to a .271 batting average. His longest outing of the year was against then-No.1 Angelo State, when he was on the mound for five and a third innings of relief. He got wins in relief on 2/1 against St. Edward's and on 2/29 against Texas A&M International. 

2019 (NMJC)
Focusing solely on pitching during his sophomore season, Acrey made 19 appearances, all in relief. He gave up 22 earned runs in 29.2 innings on the mound for an earned run average of 6.67. He allowed 34 hits and walked 18 batters but struck out almost a batter an inning with 27 Ks. 

2018 (NMJC)
In his first collegiate season, Acrey appeared in 10 games, posting an earned run average of 5.40 in 21.2 innings on the mound. He gave up 13 earned runs on 20 hits but showed an ability to miss bats with 23 strikeouts. Acrey also contributed offensively, recording eight hits in 42 at-bats. Three of his hits were doubles and one was a home run.
