Biography

Prior to LCU:
2024 (Vernon College)
Shields played in 24 games as a sophomore, batting .297 and walking 15 times for a .439 on-base percentage. Three of his 19 hits went for extra bases, including two home runs and one double. He drove in 15 runs and scored 16 more.

2023 (Vernon College)
In his inaugural collegiate campaign, Shields saw playing time in 21 games, batting .224 but boosting his on-base percentage up to .391 with 14 walks. He clubbed two home runs and two doubles as part of his 11 hits and drove in nine runs while scoring eight.
