Chandler Casey enters his first season as a Graduate Assistant for the LCU Baseball program. Casey pitched for the Chaps in the 2018 and 2019 seasons. He went 11-6 with a 2.45 ERA in 36 career appearances. Casey was drafted in the 26th round of the 2019 MLB Draft by the Houston Astros. He spent three seasons in the Astros organization and reached Double-A. He went 7-3 with a 5.34 ERA during his time in the minors. After the 2022 season, Casey played independent league ball for the Cleburne Railroaders.Â
Casey is a Lubbock native and attended Frenship High School. Prior to his time at LCU, Casey went to Odessa College. He is studying business marketing.Â
