Biography

2023 (LCU)
Abel posted a 7.48 ERA in 13 appearances and 27.2 innings of work during his first season as a Chap. He allowed 31 hits, 25 runs, 23 which were earned, and struck out 33 in the 2023 season. Abel picked up two saves and posted a 1.84 WHIP.

2022 (Texas Tech)
Abel did not see any playing time at Texas Tech.

Abel pitched 59 innings and had a 2.25 ERA with 113 strikeouts at Kerrville Tivy High School his senior season. He received First Team All-District honors as a pitcher and outfielder. Abel also received honorable mention All-State honors as an outfielder. He was the No. 27 left-handed pitching prospect in the state of Texas in 2021.
