Biography

2018 (LCU)
Played in 42 games with 33 starts, hitting .270 in just over 100 at-bats... Tied for third on the team with 11 doubles... Hit five home runs and drove in 17 runs. 

2017 (LCU)
Made six appearances his first active season with the Chaps, getting hits in four of the games (two pinch hits) and hitting .364 on the season...

2016 (LCU)
Redshirted during the season...

Junior College
James attended Temple College (Temple, Texas) his freshman season and appeared in 15 games. He produced three RBI and six runs in the 15 games. Played for former Texas Ranger Craig McMurtry.  

Amateur Baseball
Spent the summer of 2017 with the Liberal BeeJays (Jayhawk Collegiate League) in Liberal, Kan., where he hit .286 in 20 games...
 
High School
A product of Lubbock Christian High School, where he played for former Chap and MLB’er Steve Watkins. James was a three-time TAPPS All-State selection and three-time All-District honoree. Also claimed a pair of Academic All-State honors.
