Junior College
Spent two seasons at Midland College (Midland, Texas), where he combined to appear in 112 games over the 2014 and 2015 seasons. In 2015, he hit .369 with eight homers, 52 RBI and 48 runs. He hit .335 in 54 games as a freshman with 36 RBI and 45runs scored. He ranked in the top-50 in the NJCAA in sacrifice flies (44th with 5).

Was a All-South Plains (Lubbock AJ) selection at Second Base in 2012 for Lubbock’s Coronado High School, where he participated in the UIL State Tournament.

Father, Mike, played for Lubbock Christian and was teammates with Josh’s JUCO coach David Coleman (Midland).Â
